About Us

Date Palm Tree is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting young Muslim authors. Our initiative aims to inspire and assist children from the Muslim community in writing and publishing a wide range of children's books, stories, poems, and other creative works infused with Islamic values and norms.

Date Palm Tree was co-founded in 2023 by Mostofa Alam and Kamrun Nahar.

We began this journey for our own daughters and the daughters within our community. We inspired and guided them through workshops to write and publish their own book. When the book was published and, in their hands, we realised what a treasure we had uncovered; the limitless power of words to inspire and develop our children. The girls were amazed at the concept of their own original work being published and made available for people all over the world to read.

We did not want to end our work there; in fact that was just the beginning. We then launched the digital platform Date Palm Tree as a publishing house that can be accessible to young Muslim authors from all over the world where they can write and submit works from the comfort of their own homes. We are committed to nurturing the literary talents of young Muslim writers and providing them with the guidance and resources they need to share their stories and creativity with the world. Thank you for joining us on this meaningful journey.
