Ignite Me

Ignite me

I feel the heat

Spread and flow through my bloodstream

Like a match lighting up a fire

It burns brightly

Rage enters my head

Loud voices echo

The world around me blurs

As the words play out

I get lost in the heat of the moment

Blood boils

As I stand my ground

My hands form into tight fists

Eyes become dull

My breath becomes rapid

As time ticks

Heart beat faster

Blood pumps

-

After what seems like forever

I stop,

Take a deep breath

But the words still cling to my mind

I try to calm down but I can't

My heart races

I never knew  the rage would last this long

…

Farewell.
